Brown nosers on LinkedIn
|
Fuck me the LinkedIn forum is full of some cunts isn’t it? Ooh look at my cv and my accomplishments, oooh look at that corporate event I’ve got a hard on just reading about who has attended.....attention seeking depraved knob heads, hero worshipping corporate entities who would piss all over any of them if and when it suited... Thoughts ?

Linkedin content is created by the people YOU have added, yet you're cunting them off?
Makes sense.

Not only that, in the early days of me trying it out, I offered somebody a little bit of advice on some problem he had in his job.
The cunt took that as a signal to keep sending me his whole fucking workload and then got really pissed off when I said I had no interest in even looking at it.

The best way to some up LinkedIn for those who haven't experienced it:
You know in the early episodes of The Apprentice you pick out the really annoying prick or Doris that you couldn't bear to be in a room for 2 minutes with without wanting to set fire to their face and then beat out the flames with a cricket bat?
LinkedIn is where they spend their time when not on TV.

Standard social media is cuntish enough, can only imagine what it's like with actual pound notes at stake.

I've recently removed a contact as he was becoming an annoying shit contacting me wanting to discuss latest developments in AV, I'm not that interested in that side, I've learn't it as its part of my job.

I've been directly offered jobs through LinkedIn messaging. I only look at those messages. The timeline function is annoying.... full of people trying to look important congratulating other people for looking important.

Peer pressured into it a few years back - haven’t stopped getting spammy email bollocks ever since.

I created an account in 2006 at the behest of the GERMANS I was currently contracting to.
Very quickly I found that just managing it to prevent all the issues already mentioned was stealing far too much of MY time, so I simply binned it.
It was mostly duplication of processes I already had in place, so offered ME no added value. They then started to promote "premium services" - at a price, naturally.
The closest I've been to it for years is reading about it on here.

Even more annoying are recruitment consultants calling/emailing with their bullshit.

Must admit I only rarely follow status updates on LinkedIn, for the same reason as you mention.
However, it can sometimes be amusing when a post for a job opening comes up, for clearly a senior role with quite specific requirements and no visa support. Discussion then gets flooded with very junior people (who would also need a visa for the location) stating "please check my profile"
